Xanthan Gum



Xanthan Gum is a widely functional extracellular polysaccharide produced by the fermentation process of Xanthomonas campestris bacterium using carbohydrates (such as corn starch) as the primary raw material. It features unique rheological properties, good water solubility, stability against heat and varying pH levels, and excellent compatibility with various salts.

As a thickening agent, suspending agent, emulsifier, and stabilizer, it is extensively used in over 20 industries including food, oil, and pharmaceuticals, making it the largest-produced and most broadly utilized microbial polysaccharide in the world.

    Xanthan gum is a widely used microbial extracellular polysaccharide produced by wild rapeseed Pseudomonas aeruginosa through fermentation engineering with carbohydrates as the main raw material (such as corn starch). Xanthan gum is currently the most superior biological gum in terms of thickening, suspension, emulsification, and stability internationally, with extremely wide applications.

    In the petroleum sector, xanthan gum is much better than other polymers in terms of viscosity, thickening, salt resistance and pollution resistance, especially in drilling for mud treatment, completion fluids and tertiary oil recovery.

    (1) Oil drilling grade xanthan gum is a mud additive specially developed for oil drilling and production. An environmentally friendly and highly effective mud additive, oil drilling grade xanthan gum has excellent resistance to changes in temperature, pH and salt content.

    (2) Xanthan gum can greatly increase its penetration and suspension properties to fine solid materials and reduce pressure loss during drilling. While speeding up drilling, xanthan gum also reduces the damage to the reservoir. Xanthan gum also improves the efficiency of drilling, cementing and completion.

    (3) As a biological drilling additive, oil drilling grade xanthan gum improves the extraction of crude oil and the utilization of natural resources. Most importantly, the product can protect the natural environment as much as possible.

    (1) Ensuring Safety:

    The packaging materials we choose that can withstand various physical and chemical challenges encountered during long-distance transportation, including drops, pressure, and changes in temperature and humidity. For hazardous chemicals that are flammable, explosive, toxic, or corrosive, special safety packaging will be used to ensure compliance with the United Nations “Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods: Model Regulations” (also known as the UN regulations).
